My cat had a seizure. Should I be worried and take him to the vet?

My cat just had a grand mal seizure. This it's the frosty one he had ever had and he's around two years old. Should I worry about him?

I would recommend taking Monkey in to the vet. Toxins can cause seizures and while epilepsy can occasionally be seen in cats it's not common. He should be evaluated to see what caused the seizure.

    Seizures in cats are more rare than dogs and are slightly more concerning. Potential causes include toxin exposure, infections and even organ disease. Whereas with dogs we sometimes don't do too much if they only had one seizure with cats I recommend they go ahead and at least get examined by the veterinarian to ensure nothing is going on.
