Poor Dash! Pus coming out of a wound is generally due to an abscess. If Dash goes outside, I would be concerned about bite wounds from another animal. However, given the location, he may have punctured his skin with one of his own nails while scratching his ears. Regardless, Dash needs to go this vet for an exam and will likely need antibiotics. If the vet determines that the wound is pretty deep, surgery may be recommended to remove any unhealthy tissue under the surface of the skin. Keep an e-collar (cone) on Dash until his vet appointment to prevent him from scratching the wound, as this will make matters worse. If you don't have an e-collar, this link has tips for making one at home: http://dogsaholic.com/care/homemade-dog-cone.html. I hope that he's on the mend soon!
