My cat lost teeth, but his mouth seems fine. Is it gum disease?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Male | neutered | 4 years and 6 months old | 12 lbs

My cat has lost a few of his front teeth , I heard it could be gum disease, but his mouth looks normal, his teeth arent yellow and his gums aren't swollen or red, and he doesn't have any other symptoms besides a few missing teeth

From the pictures i can indeed confirm that there doesn't seem to be an obvious gum disease and the teeth look normal as well, nevertheless some cats lose some of their teeth quite early in life, sometimes due to bad chewing habits, sometimes randomly.
