Why is my dog shaking, falling, and has a lump with swollen nipple?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 7 years and 5 months old

She has been shaking , and has fallen over once. She has rejected chew sticks, but we will see if she eats other foods later (normal dog food). This has been happening only for one day. She has also developed a lump beneath the fur, and the nipple has swollen above that area. (This went down slightly with ice) . The images show the area. Do you have any suggestions with how to help her please?

If Nelly is actively shaking and unable to stand/losing her balance this is a concerning sign. If she also has skin issues going on and swelling/inflammation it would be best to seek veterinary care ASAP so she can be completely examined and treated.
