Why is my indoor cat sneezing? Could it be allergies or moving stress?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

My cat started sneezing multiple times a day just over a month ago, but there is no discharge, nasal growth, he eats and drinks as normal and still annoyingly cuddly. (So no change). He's also an indoor cat. I have been packing due to the two of us moving when it started. Could it just be allergies and stress? He doesn't seem bothered or different though he does try to get packed in the boxes. Thank you!

It could be just mild nasal irritation. It coukd also be due to environmental factors like dust. Rarely we can see certain slow rising disease of cats such as nasal tumors. However we usually see discharge like mucus or blood. If you ever see a discharge, your cats attitude changes or the sneezing increases in its frequency I would consider having your veterinarian do an exam.
