Hi, my 12 year old female dog, cookie, went in for shots 5 days ago and today I noticed she has a large swelling around the area! She isn't acting much different she is drinking water and eating her food although slightly reluctant today, otherwise she is normal. I am worried though because she never has had problems with shots before and now all of a sudden a huge lump! Can't call the vet because it's Sunday and they're not open. Wondering if this is an emergency or if she will be ok til tomor

This could be inflammation of the muscle but rarely an abscess can form at the site of an injection. As long as Cookie is otherwise completely normal she should be ok to wait until tomorrow to she her veterinarian.
