My dog is vomiting, has red poop & diarrhea. Is it Chlamydia?

We had an incident with the trainer he spit in her mouth and she threw up six times yesterday and now her poop is red and she is pooping uncontrollably. The trainer had clamydia . But I was told dogs can't get clamydia. So what is the problem?

Correct, dogs cannot get Chlamydia from humans. There is a form of the disease they can contact from bird droppings though. Her symptoms may be coincidental unless the trainer had something like chewing tobacco in his mouth. Consider having Reeses examined by your veterinarian. Submit a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites or bacterial overgrowth. If she is behaving normally otherwise, withhold food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. If the vomiting stops, continue feeding bland until the stool is normal then transition slowly to her regular diet. If symptoms worsen or if she develops lethargy, loss of appetite, or abdominal pain then she will need to be examined by a veterinarian. As an aside, this seems to be a very inappropriate action for a trainer. Training should be a positive experience for all parties involved.
