My black lab puppy is losing hair. Is it normal or should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 20 lbs

My black lab mix puppy is losing hair but has no red marks or overly scratching. No skin flanking either. I saw that it's not uncommon for puppies with darker fur to lose it with no real explanation. Is that true or should I take her to my vet?

Losing hair to the point that you can see her skin is not normal. I would have her checked out by her vet. Parasites, ringworm or allergies may be to blame. Your vet may do a skin scrape and or cytology to find out why Ripku is losing fur.
