My Labrador puppy has scabs. Can I use Frontline or see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 10 months and 24 days old | 80 lbs

Hi we have a 10 1/2 month old labrador retriever and he has been getting scabs on his head and neck. He is UTD on all shots and de-worming. We received a free sample of Nexgard from the vet, gave it to him on May 3rd and then I noticed a couple scabs on the side of his face, I thought it was maybe from running through trees but he developed more. He is not lethargic at all. I would like to go back to using Frontline plus & I'm wondering if I should wait until the scabs go away or bring him in?

Frontline plus does not require a prescription so you can apply it now if you would like. The scabs could be sign of a skin infection and they sometimes respond to a mild shampoo. However if it does not Gunner should see his veterinarian
