Why is my senior dog weak, lightheaded, and nearly fainting?

My dog is 11 years old and has lately lost his energy. He has fainted not to the point of unconsciousness but light headed. It this an emergency or something to do with heat?? Pet's info: Dog | Parson Russell Terrier | Male | unneutered

It's less likely to be due to heat but rather other underlying issues like heart disease (arrhythmias, enlargement), respiratory disease (high pressures in his lungs), or even anemia or cancer. Given his age and these possible causes I recommend Rex see his veterinarian for an exam.
