My female cat is humping and leaking. Is she in heat or sick?

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 19 days old | 1.68 lbs

My cat is a female. Regardless of her gender, she's humping things (like my leg, a rod, the teddy). Also, she's passing some kind of liquid. Can anyone please tell me what's happening?

It sounds like Vanilla is masturbating. Female cats can masturbate just like male cats do, and the best way to stop this behavior is to have her spayed as soon as possible. She may learn, however, that this behavior feels good and keeps doing it, but spaying her should lessen the number of times she masturbates. I would speak to your vet about getting her spayed.

    Humping can sometimes be a dominance behavior, but looking at Vanilla's age and the fact that she is unspayed, she may be demonstrating heat behaviors.
