Doberman's knee swollen for weeks, no pain. Is it the joint supplement?

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | spayed | 3 years and 10 months old | 61 lbs

my 4yr old doberman pincher has left knee swelling for 6wks. no pain ,or loss of movement. no change after course of cipro/ amox..for 14 days. only change in diet was adding prosense joint supplement. swelling started about 1wk after starting this. what do you think on condition?

I would be concerned that there may be an infection inside the joint. It is lucky that Ginger Snap is not painful or having any trouble moving with her joint that swollen. If the antibiotics you had Ginger on were not helpful your vet may recommend a joint tap so they can culture the fluid and determine exactly what is going on. I would also recommend screening Ginger for tick borne diseases as these can cause joint swelling as well. Hope this helps!
