My cat had 2 kittens, then stopped. When is stalled labor a concern?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 5 months old

our mama kitty went into labor at about 2pm this afternoon and she has only had 2 babies so far and has been sleeping for the last 2 hours however im pretty sure that there are some still in her belly how long can this process take and when should i start to be concerned about retention?

Labor and delivery can take many hours depending on the mother and size of the litter. Contactions longer than 1hour without delivery of a kitten, restlessness and discomfort longer than 2hours or breaks between kittens of more than 4hours are all indications of the need for furhter action. Often getting them out of bed for gentle exercise/toileting/drink can help to kickstart labor again
