Why does my dog whine in his crate after walks? How to stop it?

Hi i have a male rottweiler mix husky that is 3 year old every time i take him for a walk and he poops when i bring him back home in his crate he starts whining. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 180 lbs

Hi, I suspect Marley whines in his crate after a walk because he wants to continue playing and exploring. I don't think it would be associated with him pooping on the walk unless he seemed sore around his anus or straining to defecate. You probably need to crate him to leave him safely, but if you have time after the walk, engage in play with him so that he enjoys a little extra attention.
