Is walking my dog four times a day too much? How often do dogs pee?

I Walk my dog for 4 times in a day because thats what my parents told me to do. But i just wanna ask is this correct i might worry he might get dehydrated by walking around the streets. But is walking him in the Morning, Noon, Afternoon and night. I just wanna ask. Are their bladders like humans? Pee's about every hour? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 22 lbs

Hello As long as they are conditioned to the elements and healthy four walks as day are fine. Most dogs can go 6-8 hours between going to the bathroom but some have to go more frequently. Just watch for any signs of stress such as increasing weakness, uncontrollable panting, excessive thirst, and even collapse would you are walking your dog as those can be signs of heat stress/exhaustion
