My parakeet's leg was bitten and bleeding. Now it won't move.

my parakeet was bitten on the leg by an African ring neck, and it was bleeding. The bleeding has stopped but he is not moving that leg, and he is moving on one leg. What do I do?

I'm sorry your birds got into a spat. First, if you haven't already, make sure they are separated. If Twitter is not using the leg, I would recommend that he be seen by an avian veterinarian. The leg could be fractured, or have extensive soft tissue injury. Since you saw blood, we know there is an open wound, and infection may be a possibility. At a minimum Twitter may need a prescription for pain medication. Keep Twitter in a warm, quiet low stress area until you can get him seen. Make sure that he is eating and drinking normally.
