Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 9 years and 8 months old | 25 lbs
My Boston Terrier is 9, and a few days ago I noticed this white spot in his pupil. It seems to come from behind the iris and into the pupil. Do you have any idea what it could be? He's always had a bit of a bluish tint in his pupils since birth and I haven't noticed any worsening of it since the white spot has appeared, though it wasn't very bad to begin with.

From the pictures you provided it looks like one of a few things may be going on - 1) This could be the beginning of a cataract and could get larger and include the entire lens over time. 2) This could be either a fatty deposit or a calcium deposit in the eye. These are usually harmless and do not spread or get worse. 3) This could be a small scar on the cornea (the outermost layer of the eye) that is present because of a previous injury. The good news is that the rest of the eye looks healthy and Jack does not seem to be bothered by it. If you would like a more definitive diagnosis your vet can do a full ophthalmic exam to determine what exactly is going on. If the eye begins to bother Jack I would take him in to see your vet soon.
