My dog has car anxiety. Can I increase Cerenia and add Trazodone?

I have a 7 month Collie who echobits rxtreme anxiety when I want to take her on the car. She starts excessive drooling even before she gets into the car. I have tried leaving windows open but she drools on the car. The vet gave me Cetemia 164mg but that didn't help at all. I have also tried Benedryl and Dramine to no avail. She is 39lbs can I up the doze of Cerenia and add Trazodone also? In 3 weeks we taking a road trip for 1,000 miles I am desperate, help! Hi, I can understand why you are anxious for your road trip! It sounds like Ainsley has quite severe motion sickness. Cerenia is the best drug for this and has two dose ranges (one for general nausea, and another range which is higher for motion sickness ). Legally I am not allowed to give dosing information about medications without having performed a physical exam on her. I am certain that your vet would be able to tell you if she's at the maximum dose for her weight. Also they can advise on the safety of using other drugs alongside cerenia. You could also consider trying Adaptil which is a pheromone product which can help with anxiety, particularly for travel. It comes as a collar and a spray that would likely help her as well.
