Why is my cat meowing after a new flea collar and dental issues?

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 5 months old | 3.77 lbs

My 2yr old cat has had seretsoflea collar put on by vet she doesnt try to take it off but keeps on meowing .she has hag gingivitis and vet gave her injection of cortixone and antibiotic. She has to have all teeth removed.

Hello I'm glad Penny was seen by her veterinarian and you have a good plan for her future care. Her recent crying could be due to mouth pain as you mentioned her teeth need to be removed but some cats also get irritated by new items like collars and vocalize as well. As long as Penny is eating, drinking and otherwise normal you can monitor for now and discuss the crying out with your veterinarian. But if there is any redness, scabs or other signs of irritation, her food/water intake decreases, she stops using the litterbox or the crying increases I recommend you have her rechecked by your veterinarian sooner.
