My hamster chews her cage bars. Why is she doing this? Is it safe?

I have a Winter White Dwarf Hamster. She is chewing on her cage bars and I have read that she could be bored, stressed, trying to escape, or just trying to keep her teeth short. But she has a wheel, a toliet paper roll, a K-bob chew toy, and more wooden chew toys in her cage. She also has tubes that are connected to her cage. How do I know why she is doing this? I need to know if this can kill her because I read that it can.

Some hamsters may continue to chew on cage bars just out of interest even when the rest of the environment is enriched. It can be problematic if Lulu accidentally chews on something sharp and causes damage to her mouth, or if she gets a paw or even her head stuck between the bars. If you've tried enriching her environment with little success, switching to a different enclosure such as a tank or solid side cage may help eliminate the behavior.
