Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 1 year and 7 months old | 55 lbs
This just happend yesterday and she has hand demodex manage but this is new .

This lesion looks more like a wound or perhaps a bite that became infected. I would clean the area with a mild soap, apply a topical antibiotic ointment, and if she is rubbing/scratching put an e-collar on her and make an appointment for her vet to check the area out. It may need to be flushed or debriefed, and she may need antibiotics. Until it is healed, limit her time outdoors alone as wounds like this in summer can attract flies and lead to maggots.
