How to care for orphaned baby raccoons found in my yard without milk?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Male | unneutered

We found two orphan raccoons in our yard we're trying to nurse back to health but we don't have any pet milk. I'm not sure how old they are or how long they have been alone. I found information online to give diluted pedilyte I have done that but I know they need more than that to survive.

Hi there. I would recommend trying to locate a wildlife rehabilitation center near you where you can bring the babies so they can hopefully be released back into the wild. If this isn't an option, you can try feeding the babies kitten milk replacer (you can get this at a pet store) every 3-4 hours. Or if the babies have teeth you can start offering them some puppy food. Good luck with the little ones!
