xylitol poisoning in dogs. Buckaroo has had all the signs of Cushings but I failed to tell the vet about using Carmex lip balm on his nose. Frequently he will cut his nose playing frisbee. Could this be the cause?

Xylitol poisoning in dogs can cause low blood sugar and/or liver issues. It does not cause the typical symptoms of cushings disease (drinking a lot, urinating a lot, increased appetite, panting, changes in hair coat, pot belly appearance ). So the Carmex shouldn't be causing any signs of cushings, but if it contains xylitol I would stop using of course. If the nose is rough you could use vitamin e.
