Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old

My 16-month-old, 8-pound maltese/poodle chewed some wandering jew plant aout 2 hours ago and is now lethargic. Any advice? It is 1:30AM and I am worried.

This plant is considered to be toxic by affecting the skin only (Dermatitis, skin allergy), it doesn't sound as Ricky is being affected that way, maybe he is lethargic from a different reason but it is not likely to be due to this plant. if he seems seriously lethargic though, you should take him to the ER ASAP.
