Why is my cat's leg swollen, hot, and weak after being outside?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 10 months and 4 days old | 10 lbs

My cat was out over night acking very weak his paw and whole leg are swollen about twice the normal size he also has a fatty sack behind his elbow doesn't seem to be in to much pain but body is hot and he is favoring the leg but is still able to jump on the bed and get around. Any suggestions please?

Poor Kuna. Your poor pet sounds like he has an infection underneath the skin and potentially bacteremia (bacteria in the bloodstream) as well. I am not sure if he had an initial puncture wound that has now festered or if there is something else underlying going on. At any rate he at the very least needs prescription antibiotics, potentially fluid therapy to flush his system and potentially bloodwork and x-rays to determine if there is any bone involvement. I would highly recommend taking him to your local vet asap for proper care of his leg before he becomes deathly ill due to sepsis. I hope your fur baby feels better soon.
