Is it safe for my calm cat to travel and stay indoors for weekends?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siberian | Female | spayed | 6 years and 7 months old | 15 lbs

My cat lives in a house with a garden and hes uses to be let out to wander around. I recently took him for a weeoend to a flat in the city. Is it ok for him to move from a place to place for some time? He is very calm, eats properly and doesnt show any signs of stress/anxiety. The only thing is he doesnt have a place to go out. Thanks for help

How nice for G, that he gets to travel with you! :) While it's true that many cats would find this stressful, there are some very relaxed, confident kitties who don't seem to mind trips like this at all. As long as he seems relaxed and content, eats and drinks normally, etc. I don't see any problem with taking him along. As long as he is willing to use a litter box indoors, it should be okay if he doesn't have access to the outside for a weekend every now and then.
