It's common for puppies and young dogs like Azriel to want to chew and play with anything they can reach - slippers are often attractive to them, because they are soft and fuzzy and smell like you :) I would recommend simply putting your slippers away out of Azriel's reach so that he can't chew on them. He should grow out of this behavior as he gets older.

Turun tellnga may be chewing your slippers because is she bored, anxious, or just enjoys chewing them. I would recommend removing all slipper from places she can get to and making sure she appropriate chew objects to choose from. If you forget a slipper and catch her chewing one, remove it and give her a better option. Avoid punishment because that often makes things worse instead of better. Reward her with a treat or attention when she's chewing on appropriate objects. If this occurs when you are out of the house, talk to your veterinarian about separation anxiety and they can help you determine if anxiety is a factor. Good luck!
