Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | neutered | 5 years and 6 months old | 34 lbs
I took him to the vet last week because he was lethargic & panting. They gave him antibiotics & nuseua meds. Yesterday, I found a large (half size of my palm) piece of black rubbery thing that I sucpect is part of a Kong in his poop. He was still shivering last night, but seemed to feel much better yesterday, even before he pooped it out. Should I continue giving him meds? Take him back to the vet? Wait a few days to see if things get better?

Hello there. So sorry to hear that Charlie is not feeling well. I would definitely take him back to the vet ASAP. I would be worried that he may have a piece of that rubber still stuck in his intestines somewhere. Even though he pooped a piece out (which is good) he may still have a piece (or pieces) still in there causing a problem. It is best to get him x-rayed and have that checked out. It is better to be safe than sorry. I would continue the meds as long as he is not vomiting. I hope this helps. Best wishes. Dr. Amber
