The lesion on Gift's chest could be due to ringworm, mange, a skin infection, among other causes. In order to differentiate between these types of lesions, Gift will need to take a trip to the vet for an exam and diagnostic testing (skin scrapes, skin cytology and fungal culture). Be aware that ringworm and Sarcoptic mange can be transmitted to people and other pets, so be sure to practice extra-thorough hand washing after handling Gift until these conditions have been ruled out. I hope that all goes well!
