My dog ate fatty meat. Why is he vomiting and having diarrhea?

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 4 months old | 12 lbs

Since yeaterday after my brother gave my dog alot of fatty pieces of meat the next morning my dog had diahorea and vomiting and it has continued the whole day on and off please help

Poor Rusty! Eating fatty foods like this can often cause stomach upset in dogs, and sometimes also more serious issues such as pancreatitis. Since he has been vomiting and having diarrhea all day, I would really recommend taking him for a vet visit, as he will quickly become dehydrated if this continues. Your vet can test him for pancreatitis to see if this is the problem - if so, he will probably need to be hospitalized for IV fluids and supportive care until he recovers.

    Hello, The recent fatty food consumption likely caused inflammation of the stomach, intestines and/or pancreas. I would advise that you discontinue feeding Coel anything other than his Royal Canin. If symptoms fail to improve, follow up with your veterinarian to discuss bloodwork and abdominal x-rays.
