My dog is on Prednicare for allergies. When will she stop itching?

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 6 years and 7 months old | 14.5 lbs

My dog was taking atopica for allergies but my vet has taken her off it as we couldn't stop her vomiting after trying many different things She has put her on 5mg prednicare one daily how soon should I see her stop itching ? She is also taking piriton twice daily

Prednicare should stop the itchiness within 48 hours of starting the treatment. i would recommend asking your vet for a medication called Apoquel, very effective for skin allergies without the bad side effects of steroids.
