Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Tibetan Mastiff | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old

Hello, I live in India (Himachal Pradesh) my pet is a year and a half old. She is being vomiting, jammy consistency stool somewhat bloody colour and also is in heat. She is drinking water and eating less food. As we are vegetarian my mother gives her chapatti and curd occasionally some vegetables also. I'm very worried but we don't have a veterinarian here what should I do. I can't trust the only doctor available here I need some genuine advice please help my pet.

I'm so sorry Pluto isn't feeling well. I would start by withholding food for 8-12 hours. Then Instead of the vegetables and her regular dog food, I would try feeding her only a very bland diet of boiled skinless boneless chicken breast and steamed white rice (1 part chicken to 2-3 parts rice). I would feed her small meals multiple times a day. If this helps; I would feed this bland diet for 5-7 days then slowly transition her back to her regular food. If she continues having vomiting and diarrhea then she needs medical attention as she could have something more serious underlying. I hope this helps and pluto is feeling better soon!

There could be a couple of things wrong with Pluto, and unfortunately without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain. He could be suffering from a severe GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. It could also be parvovirus if he isn't fully vaccinated. When a dog has both vomiting and diarrhea, it's time to see a vet. I would take him into now so the vet can diagnose what is causing his symptoms so he can be treated. Good luck, I hope this helps!
