Why is my Pitbull's nose swollen with itchy bumps and abscesses?

My Pitbull has one side of the nose swollen. She also has similar to mosquito bites al over her back and it seem to itch a lot. And has some type of abscesses on her neck, right rear leg and breast area. Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | 10 years and 1 month old | 80 lbs

I hate to hear that Kanny is uncomfortable. It sounds like she is having some type of allergic reaction. The facial swelling along with what may be hives indicate that she should go to the veterinarians office for diphenhydramine and dexamethasone injections. They will likely also put her on an over-the-counter antihistamine and potentially steroid tablets for a few days. if what you were describing as abscesses appear to be infected, she will likely also go on an antibiotic. Get her in right away before she scratches more sores on her body. In the meantime, a cool water bath may help to temporarily decrease the itch but ultimately she will likely need medications. Hope she feels better soon!
