Dog lump bleeding and swelling after biopsy: Could it be an MCT?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 9 months old | 45 lbs

My dog got Biopsy for her lump yesterday. Today, I saw fresh blood on it a few times. After she shook body, there was blood like yesterday. And I think her lump became a little bigger. I can feel it from back of her ear now. The back used to be flat. I feel like all these info telling me the lump is MCT. I'm very worried. I'm dizzy. Is there any other kind of lump like this? If it's MCT, I'm worried it releases histamine... Is there anything I can do for her? One pic is before biopsy.

I know this is upsetting, and it's difficult waiting for the results of the biopsy. However, you should know that pretty much any ear trauma (surgical or otherwise) causes a considerable amount of bleeding, even if properly closed. So I don't think this additional bit of bleeding is necessarily confirmation that this is a mast cell tumor, but I'm glad you're getting a definitive answer, regardless.
