Dusty's lump could be a result of a skin tag, papilloma (wart-like lesion), or another benign or malignant mass. Some lumps and bumps can become irritated or uncomfortable, which could explain why Dusty has been licking this lesion. To determine the cause of this lesion, I recommend taking him to his vet for an exam. The vet will be able to draw out a few cells with a needle and then examine them microscopically. I hope that all goes well!
