Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | neutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 22 lbs
My dog has developed a hard red lump on his leg over the past week. He is a one year old pug who lives in the house with me and my husband. We noticed a flat red spot when we brought him home from the park one evening. It has since become hard and raised. It's not hot and has no odor but does seem to hurt him. Any idea what it is or what we should do for it?

One of the more common red, raised lumps in young dogs is a histiocytoma. These are benign masses that go away without intervention in 2-3 months. However, Hercules' skin lesion could also be related to a malignant mass, cyst, ringworm, skin infection, among others. Your best bet is to take him to the vet for an exam and evaluation of this lesion - better safe than sorry. I hope that all goes well!
