Why is my dog suddenly eating slowly and walking away from her food?

Just recently my dog Monah has been sort of taking her time way too much when she eats. She usually just goes and digs in, but now she looks at it takes a bit walks away and comes back and fourth to it. I have no idea why? However she still gets excited when I first initially put the food in her bowl. I'm not sure what to make of this? Could you help? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | 1 year and 3 months old | 60 lbs

Cute pup! It may be that Monah just isn't very interested in her food, or is getting too large of an amount and may benefit from smaller portions or more frequent ones. If you're in an area where the weather is getting hotter, it may also affect appetite some. However, if she refuses to eat completely, or shows other signs of illness, then scheduling a vet visit is always good to rule out any health issues.
