My baby duckling is weak, falls, and gets tired. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hello, I have a question about few weeks old baby duckling. I have two ducklings, One is somehow weak in his legs. He lays down frequently and falls when he runs fast. sometimes, when tired by standing or running he starts to open his mouth and sits down immediately. Please, could you advice me what to do or what is the problem? heart disease? or just caused something else? I feed them with corn flour mixed with vitamins and cucumber skins. Can vitamins cause something wrong? Looking forward to

Without a full physical examination it is not possible to say what is wrong with your duckling. It could be that he has injured one or both of his legs and it is painful for him to stand or run. It is also possible that the has heart disease causing him to be weak and tired easily. He will need to be examined by a veterinarian to determine what the problem is and to get appropriate treatment. I do not think that the vitamins are causing this problem.
