My kitten got in the garbage and is now foaming. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Balinese | Female | spayed | 3 months and 8 days old

My boyfriend and I were getting ready in the bathroom. My boyfriend noticed my kitten was in the garbage and he had to pick it up. When I was in the living room, I looked at her and seemed fine. Boyfriend went to our room and he noticed Daisy was foaming in the mouth. This is the first time and she is 3 months old. She goes to the ver next week to get more of her shots. I'm worried she may be sick...

Oh no, poor Daisy! If she was in the garage and is now foaming at the mouth, I would be very concerned that she got into something toxic in the garage. The best thing to do is take her into a vet right away, as this may be a medical emergency. The vet can diagnose what is causing her to foam at the mouth, and can treat her for it.
