Why does my senior dog have a white eye spot and vision changes?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Italian Greyhound | Female | spayed | 17 lbs

I have a 14 year old Italian Greyhound who has auto immune Mediated Disease. I noticed what appeared to be a white spot in her Right Eye. At first it looked as though she had Punctured the eye because it looked like a pin point size hole.I am not sure how she would have got it but she rubs her face in the grass which is not unusual. She also has runny eyes ass well. We have notice changes inher eye sight like looking around a room but no one is there. What could be wrong w the eye?

Some auto immune disease also affect the eyes, i'm not sure if this is the case with Bella or if she just got injured but you need to take her to the vet urgently in order to get it treated, she could lose her vision very fast in the affected eye.
