Why is my cat peeing small amounts of bloody urine in random places?

Please, take her to your local vets for an appointment, as most likely she will need a course of antibiotics to get better.

Cystitis or flutd is very common in cats, generally triggered by stressful events. Prescription pain medications, wet food and most especially wet diets specifically formulated for urinary tract issues with stress relief supplements can make a massive difference. Cats can certainly get urinary tract infections, but they can also get something called feline lower urinary tract disease. This disease has all of the symptoms of an infection without any bacteria causing the problem. This is more common in younger cats, multiple cat households, spring and fall, and in times of stress. We usually manage these cases with fluids and medication. If a cat has a repeatable problem then often there are diet and husbandry changes recommended. Poor Sweetpea! This can be a common problem in cats. It can be cause by stress, a bladder infection, urinary crystals, kidney infections and/or bladder stones. I would her looked at by your vet to ensure she doesn't have an infection and that her kidney values look okay. Your vet will be able to run an urinalysis and blood work to assess these things. Since this is such a common problem, I would have bladder stones rule out as well if this hasn't already been done. Finally, since this is a reoccurring problem, I would also consider switching Sweetpea to a prescription urinary diet like Science Diet C/D stress to help decrease the number of flareups she has in a years time. You can also add cosequin for cats, a joint supplement, to her diet. One of the side effects of cosequin is to increase the mucus in the lining of the bladder which will ultimately help to protect the bladder wall. I hope this helps!

It could be a urinary infection or a bladder inflammation it could also be coming from the anal area which would make me suspect of a gastrointestinal issue. either way i would strongly advise to take her to the vet ASAP in order to get it treated.

Have her seen by your veterinarian. You can request conservative treatment and your veterinarian may prescribe a broad spectrum antibiotic for a presumed urinary tract infection without performing recommended diagnostics (urine culture, urinalysis, abdominal xrays, blood work). It may help, however the risk is that the bloody urine may not be caused by "simple" infection. Other possibilities are inflammation, tumor or stones. If Luna should become completely obstructed, this will turn into an emergency and potentially life threatening condition.

Causes of bloody urine are: stress bladder inflammation (cystitis), urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine or bladder stones. Prevent her from urination by keeping her in her carrier or in a room with out a litter box for a few hours before the appointment so the Vet can collect a urine sample to test. If she has a urinary tract infection she will be put on antibiotics. I wish you the best!
