Is a steroid injection safe for my cat with a grade 3 heart murmur?

dexadreson - i would like to understand if this medicine is safe for a cat with grade 3 heart murmur / heart condition. It was given as an injection as a precaution to a cut so it wouldn't get infected. Is there a risk due to the heart condition? Thank you. Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Male | neutered

First of all this is a steroid, and i do not understand why it was given to prevent an infection (steroid do the opposite). secondly steroids are usually not recommended for cats with heart problems, as it can cause heart failure (usually only in prolonged treatment though).
