If Boss is having an allergic reaction only on his belly, the most likely cause of this is a contact dermatitis from something he laid upon. Consider if you have gotten him a new bed or mat, or if you have recently changed your detergent, fabric softener, or dryer sheets. If you have used any new cleaners, this could also be responsible. If you have used anything topically on Boss' belly this is obviously also a possibility. I would try and wash off the affected area with some dawn dish soap. If the area is itchy, I would place a shirt over boss to prevent further damage or make him wear a collar. I would also look into obtaining something topical for his skin that has a steroid or antihistamine, or visit your vet for something more effective. They will have prescription only medications that may be better at controlling the symptoms that something you can get over the counter. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
