Poor Eli! Severe dental disease can certainly cause nosebleeds and nasal discharge, since the roots of some of the upper teeth are connected to the nasal cavity. It's also possible that he has a severe bacterial or fungal infection, a foreign body of some kind stuck in his nose, or even a nasal tumor. I would recommend taking him to the vet as soon as possible to have this checked - he/she can do a thorough oral exam under sedation if needed to help determine the problem and see what needs to be done to treat it.

I'm sorry to hear that Eli isn't feeling that great. Bleeding from the nose is typically due to dental issues, sinus problems, nasal / sinus tumors, trauma, or a primary bleeding disorder. Depending on the age of Eli, the likelihood of one over another varies. If you are noting bad breath and bleeding from both nostrils, I'd say there is a definite possibility of a relationship to the teeth. Eli needs to be seen by a vet sometime soon to address this, and may possibly require a dental cleaning with extractions if this ends up being the problem. If the bleeding is active and coming out in a steady stream, this is not something that should wait until morning. A trip to an emergency veterinarian would be advisable to get the bleeding under control.
