Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 20 lbs
My dog recently had been having very wet poop/diarrhea. I was cutting it out of his fur and washing his bottom when I noticed a tiny pink bump w just barely a dab of blood. Is this hemorrhoids? If so what can I do to help at home?

We do not usually see hemorrhoids in dogs. IT is quite possible that his skin is very irritated from being wet and being in contact with the feces, and this could be the cause of the pink color and raised skin. It is possible as well that cutting his fur could have caused a tiny cut in the skin (it can be very tough to cut the fur on a pet in this area without accidentally cutting the skin, we usually use clippers to do this in the vet clinic). I would wash the area well with a mild soap or dog shampoo and monitor it closely. If it becomes more red/swollen or has any discharge, a visit to your vet is needed to be sure there isn't a more significant problem.
