Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | neutered | 10 years and 11 months old

Concerned about my elderly cavelier after the loss of his sister. All he does is sleep hair falling out. Eating ok but very withdrawn

I'm sorry to hear about Buster! Dogs do mourn for their companions, and I'm sure that is what is going on. He needs to have some time to adjust. Can you spend some extra time with him, take him on lots of walks and do all his favorite things? He will come around soon, I'm sure! If not, you might consider taking him to see his vet, to be sure there is nothing else going on. Maybe some blood tests to be sure his organs are in good shape might be a good idea. Good luck, and I really hope Buster feels better soon!
