My senior dog growls at sounds. How can I correct this behavior?

My senior yorkie can't throwing a kiss sound at him or he growls. He doesn't like it... can that behavior be corrected?

It might be that the noise is just bothersome to him and avoiding doing it is best. However, if you'd like to turn it into a more positive experience, you can start to give a favorite treat to him every time you make the sound. Simply make the sound and immediately give/toss the treat before he has a chance to start growling. Over time he'll learn to associate it with a positive (the treat) instead of a negative.
