My dog has red hives on chest after eyelid swelling and antihistamine.

Hello! My dog eyelid first got swollen so I gave her some 5mg of ceterizine she got prescribed by her vet before and put a cone in her head so she stop scratching. Now half hour later her chest is reacting in these soft big red bubbles like. Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Female | 7 years old | 14 lbs

It sounds like Brisa is having a systemic allergic reaction to something - we may never know what, but possibly an insect sting - and in my experience oral antihistamines don't help a ton with these. Those big bubbles you see on her chest are likely hives. The thing is, if these have started after you gave ceteriZine, she likely needs more potent and immediate therapy in the form of injectable antibiotics and possibly anti inflammatories to arrest the reaction. I'd recommend a vet visit ASAP to get these medications.
