My dog has a bleeding stomach tumor; antibiotics failed. What now?

Pet's info: Dog | Italian Greyhound | Female | unspayed | 11 years and 3 months old | 5 lbs

My Italian greyhound has a golf ball size tumor on her stomach and is bleeding. She was put on antibiotics to shrink it bit it hasn't worked. I need to know what i need to do to help her

I am so sorry to hear about Tilly. Unfortunately with many of these tumors surgical removal is the only way to fix the problem. If that isn't an option right now, in some instances depending on type of tumor placing the pet on prednisone may decrease the size but can have negative side effects (panting, increases urinating). Another consideration if the tumor is bleeding is a traditional Chinese medicine called Yunnan Baiyao. I would ask your vet if these are options for your dog.
