Why does my dog have recurring acne and swollen lymph nodes?

Pet's info: Dog | Boerboel | Female | unspayed | 10 months and 21 days old | 100 lbs

Dog acne on face and sometimes vulva, swollen lymph nodes on rear legs. 8 month battle with it- used every cream and spray. Still comes back. She's been on grain free food for 6 months or so.

Hello. Have you tried bringing Nyah to a veterinarian? I would recommend having her lymph nodes aspirated in order to check why the lymph nodes are enlarged. I would also possibly biopsy the site, depending on response. What you are describing sounds like it needs oral medications to start, and if it is a simple infection, if it is causing the lymph nodes to enlarge it may make Nyah very sick soon. Puppy strangles (a form of auto-immune disease and severe infection) is also a possibility however this would be a mild case. I suggest having her seen by a vet. Good luck with her. Also, this is unlikely to be related to her diet in that location.
